For instance, I have told myself I’ll give it three more weeks, or months, etc. One way to fight back, is to set a deadline, and then let yourself quit later. Wrong! Now is the time to lean in even more.

The funny thing is a lot of people as soon as they don’t see immediate results, all want to quit! This is when our daily bad habits will creep up again, and start to convince us that quitting is the only likely solution. What long term goal or plan are you pursuing that you might have been tempted to quit? It could be creating more content for your blog, learning a skill like video editing, or even changing careers. “It’s a slow process, but quitting won’t speed it up” – Anonymous So remind yourself why you started in the first place. The journey usually ends up being more important than the end goal, but if you’re not sure of the rewards or end goal, you’re more likely to give up. Reminding yourself of the rewards of what you have to gain from following dreams can sometimes be enough to keep you going. “Anyone who genuinely and consistently with both hands looks for something, will find it” – Rumi I combat my loss of motivation by visiting websites like Addicted to Success and scrolling Pinterest for words of wisdom. One of the greatest sources for motivational quotes is Pinterest (and my motivational quote board is one you should follow – wink). So I have been leaning hard on extra motivational websites and quotes this week. I convinced myself it’s too hard – too much time, too much vulnerability, too much still to learn. I started to wonder if there is time to blog on top of working, and still living life in general. I have to admit, this week I had to dig deep for motivation. Anyone else feel they are in the grey doldrums of winter and loss of motivation? I’m not sure if it’s the weather, the end of the year or the pressures of every day life that make it hard to keep pursuing your goals.
